CNT fibers and yarns are highly aligned from end to end and can be successfully cut to length with very simple tools such as a razor blade.
Due to the highly aligned nature of CNT fibers, they are hard to cut to length.
when a clean cut is required, using a sharp razor blade you can press the blade into a sacrificial surface under the fiber/yarn and lightly saw back and forth to slice leaving a clean cut.
Alternatively, if laser equipment is available you can cut the fibers/yarns using a standard co2 laser.
20w should be enough to cut most yarns offered in our store with modifications to speed when thicker yarns are being cut.
